No period for 5 months!?
i haven't had my period since september and it's been 5 months now... My periods had always been irregular.. Every 2-3 months or so.. Also, i've gained some weight. So my question is, is it normal? If i lose the weight, will my period come again? What if i dont lose the weight? My period will stop completely??
I've seen doctor when i was 17 when i didnt have period for 3 months and she checked me thoroughly, and she said my uterus is healthy and there was no problem at all, then she prescribed me birth control pills but still it didnt work so my mum got me some chinese herbal medicine then i had my periods since then but still irregulary, now im 20. Should i go see doctor again?? What should i do now???

Listen, I have irregular periods too since I was 14. I didn't have sex until I have 18 so I wasn't pregnant or anything. I still have them now. I don't want to scare you, but I haven't been on my period for six months now and I actually have something wrong with me. I'm not sure what it is yet, I'm going to the hospital. If you're getting pains or a bloated feeling, you may have a cyst on your ovaries, which is VERY common. I really don't think you have anything serious at all, because trust me, if you did, you would know about it.
It is, in essence, normal. Lots of women have irregular periods. When you take birth control, it can totally stop.
Weight can affect your periods. Before doing anything too active, go to the doctors.
I very much doubt your period would stop forever. It's so unlikey you have a better chance of the sun falling out of the sky.
Your body changes, but just like your heart, it would take years for anything major to change about your body. I don't think you have anything serious at all. But I DO reccomend you go to the doctor. Don't be scared. Golly, I was terrified going to the doctors and I was in pain. I probably have a cyst - but if you're not in pain then I doubt you have that.
Because you've had irregular periods for a while, I wouldn't worry, my dear. Just go to the doctos as soon as possible (try for a woman doctor), and it will seriously put your mind at ease.
