Lose Weight Military Style

(UK people) Can anyone recommend a good fitness DVD for beginners?

I was going to get Claire Richards' DVD but it's all done to Steps music which I just couldn't tolerate. Davina's look a little advanced, though she has several so I'm not sure which one would be best anyway.
I want to lose weight so an aerobic workout is what I need but nothing too military-styled or advanced, but also not too easy, something I can build on.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated (I'm in the UK).

Charlie Brookes Before and After is brilliant for beginners! The dance section maybe a little "technical" for you at first but once you get going it is really good.

I used to just mix up the sections depending on how much time I had. She is very motivating and "real" and you can relate to her!

Once I had done that for 2 months or so I started doing the Ministry of Sound ones, these are excellent too but they are quite demanding so you need to be fit before you use them.

Then I started running as I got bored of doing DVDs as running burns the same calories in 20 mins that a DVD can do in an hour.

But definitely start with Charlie Brookes as she really gets you fit!
