Excel Question?
This is for a group of cars MPG vs Weight. How do you do this? I have the XY graph but lost on the other stuff...
a. Prepare an x-y graph of mpg versus weight. Fit a straight line through the data points, listing the equation and r2 for the data set, on the graph.
- Choose a scatter plot. (only the points, not the lines)
- remove all the series the chart tries adding for you
- Add a new series
- click the series x value block and highlight the weight cells
- click the series y value block and highlight the mpg cells
- once you have your graph, right click the points and "add trendline"
- select a linear line and select "display R squared value on chart" AND "display equation on chart"
