burst gastric ulcer and peripheral vascular disease?
dad was rushed to er with a burst ulcer he was un aware he had he already had untreated pvd as his calf of one leg would play him up on and off
after successful emergency treatment by way of an op he has made good proggress however they have him on anti biotics and also a blood thinner jab
and his feet have become very swollen and some blisters have formed that have now burst on their own
his consultant is happy the leg problem is chronic and not acute after having had an mra scan
but i wondered what causes this cellulitis type odeama after such an op and how long it will take to improve and what steps we could take to help it
dad is out of bed and walking with a frame having gone in there fully mobile any ideas please thankyou
my dad also had this,it took a while may 2 months untill he was well enough to go back to work, hes fine now no problems walking,its such a major op its very sore and is painful when moving and walking iam sure your dad will be fine just as mine is, dont worry.
